Welcome and thank you for visiting Vitality, Health and Nutrition Services, LLC. My name is Marge Agliozzo Chapman, RN and my mission and goals are to help people to live active, healthy lives through the use of food and exercise. If you are suffering from digestive problems, obesity/overweight, thyroid issues, insomnia, depression or anxiety, these can be an indication that something is out of balance in your body, or you are lacking certain nutrients.
In many cases, these symptoms can be alleviated simply by changing what you eat and drink. I received my masters degree from a school that focuses on functional medicine and believe that many interventions can be through non pharmaceutical means. Being an allopathically trained RN, however, I do recognize that medication is necessary at times, and I will work with you and your doctor to achieve optimal health through the right balance of food, nutrients, and if necessary, medications.

Advantages of Working with Me

I was the recipient of a nursing fellowship in oncology nursing from the National Cancer Institute, and a case manager. I know the physiology of the human body well, and in particular, the role that hormones play on our mood, weight, and overall well being. As a licensed, professional, Registered Nurse, I am also required to keep up with continuing education, which ensures that I am always up to date on the latest trends and thoughts in healthcare as it relates to diet and nutrition.

I have been working in the fitness industry for 10 years and have multiple certifications from several certifying organizations including ACE, AFAA, AEA, and Mad Dogg Athletics. All my certifications are from organizations that are recognized as top in the industry, which require me to not only pass written, but also practical exams, as well as keep up with continuing education. I work (or have worked) at several different health clubs in the southern Monmouth County area including The Atlantic Club, Meridian/Tilton Fitness, Vive Fitness, Brielle Sports Club, and Workout World.

nutrients play in the human body
With a few years of studying biochemistry at the graduate level, you can be assured that I know the importance of nutrients, and how they affect one’s health. Most people know nutrients play a role in mood, neurotransmitter synthesis, tissue repair, (to name a few) and overall general health and wellness.
Practice with integrity
There is also nothing worse than being pressured into purchasing follow up visits, supplements, cleanses, food scales or other items. I pride myself on having a “no pressure” approach. If you are interested in purchasing recommended items through me, I am happy to obtain them for you (often giving a discount off retail), can direct you as to where you can purchase them, or you can simply purchase them on your own. I do this because I practice with integrity. If I recommend a supplement, it’s because I feel it will benefit you, not because I am going to profit off the sale. I am also happy to look over the supplements you are currently taking. If I feel they are appropriate or of high quality, I often recommend they not be changed.
